Meet Dr. Nathan Climo

Dr. Nathan Climo is a national board-certified optometrist licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Dr. Climo was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in the eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania areas. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate degree, where he majored in Natural Science/Pre-Optometry and graduated in the top of his class with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Climo continued his education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he earned a second bachelor degree in Vision Science and ultimately his Doctor of Optometry, graduating with high honors.

During his time in optometry school, Dr. Climo completed clinical rotations with intensive training in primary eye care, contact lenses, pediatric and binocular vision, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, all while earning honors distinction in each of these clinical specialties. He was also inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and was the recipient of the Cooper Vision’s Excellence in Contact Lenses Award.

Dr. Climo is an active member of the Florida Optometric Association, the Manasota County Optometry Society, and the American Optometric Association.

In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, working out, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
